Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.)

The Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.) program at WHU provides students with a solid academic and ministerial foundation for various ecclesiastical roles. This program offers an in-depth understanding of the Bible, theology, and practical ministry. Graduates will be fully equipped to spread the gospel and lay the groundwork for further graduate studies.

The Th.B. program requires the completion of 120 credit hours, which includes a balanced curriculum covering general education, biblical and theological studies, ministry training, biblical languages, and elective courses.

Degree Requirements

To complete the Th.B. degree, students must:

  • Complete 120 credit hours of prescribed studies, including at least 25% of their coursework in full-time residency at WHU.

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

  • Settle all financial obligations to the university.

  • Complete an exit interview with the Academic and Finance Offices (if applicable).

Learning Outcomes

  • Interpret and apply biblical teachings in contemporary contexts.

  • Explain core doctrines of the Christian faith.

  • Biblical Language Studies (6 credits): Study of Greek and Hebrew to understand biblical texts in their original languages.

  • Advanced Biblical and Theological Studies (18 credits): Deeper exploration into biblical scholarship, theology, and ministry.
